Justice has been emerging lately as a theme in my life. Lady Iustitia, the Roman Goddess of Divine Law and Order is depicted blindfolded and holding the scales of balance suspended. The blindfold represents her impartiality in the judgement, the scales ⚖️ also an impartial symbol simply moving based on the weight on each side. The sword represents punishment and the snake under her foot the triumph over evil.
The idea of #justice is closely related to the ideas of #karma and #judgement. When we let go and allow the scales to tip on their own, the natural consequences of the sword 🗡 will carry themselves out. When we judge through the blindfold, we refuse to see and condemn whatever act has been committed as we understand and have faith in the divine law and natural flow of karma.
