In Christianity, Jesus is referred to as the “Rose of Sharon” whilst the Virgin Mary is often associated with roses. The word Rosary means “Crown of Roses.”
The rose cross is the symbol of the Rosicrucians who were Christian mystics dedicated to an esoteric form of Christian doctrine.
The rose represented the feminine aspect and the cross the masculine.
